Another party primary election that the vast majority of eligible voters sat out has me thinking of all the figurative taps on the shoulder I’ve been getting, all the tugs on the sleeve. One time it’s a phone call out of the blue, another time it’s a message over the transom.
Seems like barely a week goes by without someone urging me to take a look at some new political party that’s forming, or join one, or help create one. Earlier this year and last year I was regularly hearing from old acquaintances saying I should get involved in the movement to start a People’s Party. More recently, more than a few people have reached out to ask what I think of the Forward Party that’s taking shape. Just the other day, someone I know messaged me to get my reaction to the idea of establishing an Integrity Party.
