I have some personal news to share. For the last several years, I have been working on a novel, my first foray into territory that’s unfamiliar to me and therefore quite unnerving. I’m blessed to have found a publisher who loves the story and believes in an author who waited until nearly retirement age to take a stab at writing fiction. The book—Miracles Along County Q—is due out sometime in September.
The story has nothing to do with politics, which may come as a surprise to many who’ve followed my career and a shock to some who’ve walked with me on the paths I’ve taken in life. But it’s true, the book’s not about politics, unless you are one who believes that all literature is political to one extent or another.
