The World Turned Upside Down

What does or doesn’t happen in politics at any given moment is a reflection of where society is at. Art, on the other hand, has the capacity to transport. It can prick the conscience, fuel the imagination, jar the senses and lift hearts.

More than anything, art in all its various forms both enables and compels us to see what we otherwise can’t or don’t want to see. With all the crises we are facing but largely ignoring, that is needed more right now than at perhaps any time in living memory.

I’m no songwriter and owe thanks to the genius of Lin-Manuel Miranda and the powerful artistry of Leslie Odom Jr. for inspiring this. Not a graphic designer either but managed to gussy this up using one of them free online meme makers.
